Certification Updates Reminders

New Certification Updates for January:

1. Since January 1st, 2022, Serbia EMC & LVD CoC is not mandatory for products without RF function, CE mark will be aceptable for demonstrate compliance, however the Serbia conformity mark still needs to be applied.

2. Saudi Arabia authority SASO released a new notice that RoHS requirement which originally scheduled to be implemented since January 5th, 2022, now postponing the mandatory dates of each product categories.

3. India authority WPC extended the Short Range Devices (SRD) frequency band 865-867MHz to 868MHz to include new technologies. In addition, reducing the Effective Radiated Power (ERP) limit for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) devices from 4W to 2W.

4. Brazil ANATEL published Act 10002 (updates Act 3151) for devices with WWAN function and Act 10003 (updates Act 3152) for Mobile Phones. These Acts are already effective. The main changes are the inclusion of technical requirements for 5G NR FR2 and NB-IoT NB2, as well as updates to reference standards. All devices already approved with 5G NR must be evaluated and if additional standards are required, reports are to be presented by May 29th, 2022.
