New Certification Updates for October
1. The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has cancelled the new Audio and Video (AV) products standard TIS1195-2561 and returned to using the original standard TIS1195-2536. A newer standard will be announced again in the future when improved.
2. Medical devices under Argentina ENACOM-Q2-60.15 standard using frequencies 9-315kHz, 401-406MHz, 30-37.5MHz and 430-440MHz will require local testing starting February 23rd, 2022. A Declaration of Conformity (DoC) can continue to be accepted for this standard until then.
3. According to the issued Resolution 528/2021, Argentina ENACOM can now certify satellite that uses the Ku Band (frequencies 17.7–31.0GHz).
4. Argentina ENACOM will require mandatory local testing for these technologies starting February 23rd, 2022. For LTE, there is still only one accredited laboratory, so foreign reports will continue to be accepted (local testing is optional).
5. UAE authority ESMA has been integrated and all related functions is transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT).
6. Kuwait CITRA increased the certificate validity from 1 year to 3 years.
7. According to modifications of IFT-011-2017, Mexico IFETEL now requires mobile terminal equipment that supports 4G technology and has VoLTE functionality to open the VoLTE function to users, while those that does not have VoLTE functionality must clearly indicate this with a marking or label.
8. India TEC issued implementation dates and requirement for Phase III and Phase IV products.
