At the beginning of 2023, the Shenzhen Electronic and Electrical Laboratory, under the Electronic Technology Division of CTI, signed a memorandum of cooperation MoU with the Chilean authorized certification agency and was approved by the Chilean authority SEC. The test reports issued can be recognized by the Chilean authorized certification agency to apply for SEC certification.

Chilean SEC Certification

The Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles (SEC) is the official regulatory authority for electrical safety and energy efficiency regulations in Chile.

According to Decree No. 298 “Certification Regulations for Electrical Products and Fuel Products" issued by the Chilean Ministry of Economy, electronic and electrical products such as household appliances, lighting equipment, audio, video and information technology equipment, electric tools, etc., must obtain SEC compulsory certification before they can be sold in the Chilean market.
